Kirah Tabourn

Kirah is a professional astrologer and astrology teacher and consultant whose practice is rooted in the Hellenistic tradition.

Over the last five years, Kirah has been contributing to the astrologer community through her leadership and expertise. She started by organizing dinner parties for local astrologers in NYC and went on to found an astrology and culture magazine called NFLUX. She’s worked in the field over the last seven years as a writer, consultant, teacher, and host of astrology workshops.

Since moving to LA in 2020, she’s launched a podcast, The Strology Show, and served as the director of Fresh Voices In Astrology in 2020 & 2021. Her current focus is on her new podcast, Cosmic Guidance For All, and her membership Jove’s House where she hosts virtual monthly gatherings for folks looking to connect with other astrology enthusiasts. Her first book, Zodiac Signs: Pisces, debuted in February 2020.

Kirah co-founded CUSP, a horoscope and compatibility app, in October 2021 and is currently working as Chief Astrology Officer for a dating app in development, Stars Aligned. She has written for a variety of apps such as the CHANI app and Sanctuary, and she writes monthly horoscopes for Conde Nast Traveler’s Women Who Travel. Her foundational teachings are available on-demand through her website, including lectures, workshops, and intensives. She selectively offers in-person retreats and workshops, as well as consulting and team-building workshops for brands and corporations.

As a queer Black astrologer, Kirah is passionate about intersectionality and accessibility for those who want to learn astrology. From astrology for beginners to content for established professionals, she aims to create a welcoming space for astrology lovers of all experience levels.

Wondering about my reading style and the way I use astrology?

Readings with me tend to be conversations where you share what you’re moving through currently or areas of life you’re looking for clarity around, and I help guide you toward potential answers using your birth chart. My readings tend to be very timing-based, in that I will likely focus on what’s happening currently and what’s to come based on Hellenistic timing techniques as well as transits, progressions, and sometimes solar return charts. While I base my approach in ancient systems, I use it very intuitively and draw on different techniques depending on what feels most relevant at the moment. This time is for you, so we can use it to talk about what is most important to you.

In a more technical sense, I am a contemporary astrologer who draws on a traditional Hellenistic framework as the foundation of my astrological technique. Additionally, I’ve spent many years working with hundreds of charts and clients one-on-one honing and perfecting my techniques (which is a lifelong practice).

I use the Whole Sign house system, and I practice Tropical Astrology.
